What we do.

Assessment

A variety of assessments can be completed, these can assist to build understanding of strengths and barriers, developmental skills acquired and identify areas for therapy to support.

Assessments are targeted and personalised to gather more information for acquiring a goal, and understanding the level of support that is needed.

Assessments include functional capacity assessments, gross and fine motor assessments, daily living skills, transport and power mobility assessments, wheelchair and postural assessments, cognitive, community and social skill assessments.

Intervention

Occupational therapy intervention involves working with clients to identify their strengths and weaknesses, setting goals, and creating a plan to help them achieve those goals.

This may involve teaching new skills, modifying the environment, or providing adaptive equipment to help clients perform daily activities more independently.

Review

An Occupational Therapy Review is a comprehensive evaluation of a person’s physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities to perform daily activities.

Occupational therapists are registered Australian health practitioners, a health professional trained in understanding how a persons ability to complete a task is impacted by their physical and social environment, the task they are doing and their own personal skills, values and culture.

The review involves a series of assessments, interviews, and observations to identify the patient's strengths, limitations, and therapeutic goals.
